College Board APSI AP Participant Grant 2026
The College Board is now offering a new AP Participant Grant for AP teachers attending one College Board approved APSI during 2026 and meeting several criteria.
AP Participant Grants cover AP Summer Institute tuition for teachers new to an AP subject. The grant request form will open March 2026. Click here to fill out the interest form if you would like to receive notification when it opens.
Please note: Completion of this interest form does not guarantee you’ll receive a grant. Once the request form is open, you will receive a notification with a link to the form that must be submitted between March and June 2026 for consideration.
To be eligible for a grant, you must:
- Be teaching the AP course for the first time in the 2026-27 school year
- Not have attended an APSI or received College Board funding for the same AP course
- Not have received professional learning funding from your school, district, or state
What Participant Grants Cover
AP participant grants cover College Board–endorsed AP Summer Institutes in the United States and internationally. They don’t cover the AP Annual Conference, Pre-AP classes, one-day workshops, or other workshops.
Participant grants cover the cost of tuition only teachers may only be awarded one AP Participant grant. All other APSI costs (including but not limited to travel, lodging, food, or graduate credit) are the responsibility of the grant recipient.
- The application is open through June.
- The College Board will review and approve the grants on a rolling basis. APPLY EARLY!
- If selected teachers will receive a discount code.
- Teachers will not pay taxes on the AP Participant Grant.

The AP Participant Grant is available to new and experienced AP teachers. The grant is NOT available for AP teachers who have attended an APSI within the past three years. All other College Board scholarships have been discontinued.
Teachers should first register for the APSI using the College Board CVent web site, indicate eligibility as an APSI scholarship recipient.
