English Language – Angela Dorman

Mrs. Angela Dorman earned her B.A. from Livingstone College in Salisbury, North Carolina, and her M.Ed. from Texas A&M University–Commerce in Texas. She taught English in grades 9–12, including honors and humanities courses, for the Department of Defense in Ansbach, Germany for six years.

Upon returning to the United States, Mrs. Dorman taught AP® English Language and on-level English at Skyline High School in Dallas, Texas for 13 years. She was subsequently promoted to AP English Lead Teacher for Dallas Public Schools, a role in which she served for 13 years while supporting more than 25 secondary schools across the district.

After leaving Dallas ISD, Mrs. Dorman became the Advanced Academic Specialist at West Mesquite High School, where she taught English III AP, supervised AP English teachers, and led the College and Career Readiness Department. She also taught at Parish Episcopal School for two years.

Mrs. Dorman has served on the AP English Language Test Development Committee and is currently an AP English Language Reader as well as a Question Leader for the AP English Language and Composition Exam.

Currently, Mrs. Dorman teaches English at Dallas College in Dallas, Texas.
