College Board APSI AP Participant Grant 2025

The College Board is now offering a new AP Participant Grant for AP teachers attending one College Board approved APSI during 2025 and meeting several criteria.

There is an application for teachers to complete at https://apcentral.collegeboard.org/professional-learning/ap-summer-institutes/participant-grants

  • Teachers need to select an APSI when filling out the application from.  We hope you select – Idaho  APSI or the Oregon Washington APSI.
  • Criteria: Teachers must
    • be teaching an AP course in the 2025-26 academic year.
    • be teaching at schools where at least 50 percent of the student population consists of underrepresented minorities AND/OR at least 50 percent of the student population qualifies for free or reduced-price lunch.
    • not have any additional sources of funding (for example, state funding) for professional development.
  • This scholarship/grant only pays for the full APSI tuition.
  • The application is open through May.
  • The College Board will review and approve the grants on a rolling basis. APPLY EARLY!
  • If selected teachers will receive a discount code.
  • Teachers will not pay taxes on the AP Participant Grant.

The AP Participant Grant is available to new and experienced AP teachers. The grant is NOT available for AP teachers who have attended an APSI within the past three years.  All other College Board scholarships have been discontinued.

Teachers should first register for the APSI using the College Board CVent web site, indicate eligibility as an APSI scholarship recipient.
