I have established the AP Economic program at Ridgefield High School in 2000. We have grown from one class to having over 100 students participate in the AP Macroeconomics and Microeconomics program. Within this program the students participated in the Council for Economic Education Economics Challenge, The NY Federal Reserve Bank Challenge (top five teams) and Euro Challenge (winning three times). I have been awarded Teacher of the Year from the Ridgefield school system, along with the Alfred Sloan award for Excellence in Economic Education by the CEE and the Northwestern Award for Excellence in Secondary Education. I have conducted webinars and workshops in both Macroeconomics and Microeconomics throughout the US.
I served as a member of the Development Committee for College Board from 2008 -2012 and have been a Table Leader for Macroeconomics at the grading in Cincinnati, Ohio and last year virtually. I served on the committee to create the teacher CED for Macroeconomics. I love working with teachers to promote the AP Economics program and I also learned so much from the teachers I have worked with through the years. I am presently teaching Macroeconomics and Microeconomics at Iona University/ Manhattanville College in Westchester County, NY. I was recently awarded Adjunct Professor 2023 from Iona University. My passion is to read and travel and share my experiences with my students.

AP Economics Teachers work collaboratively at an in-person APSI to develop an active guided-inquiry learning lesson on GDP. This lesson will help students gain a better understanding of GDP and GDP Deflator. The students should be able to do well on an AP Economic Test question on GDP.
